Yup, that'd be me! I sure have turned into a prayin' fool this year. Those jumpin-into-bed and jumpin-outta-bed prayers are gone. Well...they're still there but they get supplemented during the day, hear?
I think I posted the wrong date for the Fireside Chat at Columbia, but those of y'all that are goin' knew that all along. It's 12/18. And wouldn't ya know that my company decides to throw the holiday party on that very day. Ah well, I see those people every damned day anyway (heh heh). Seriously, I'll just show late but I know what the priority that evening is.
I was at Wharton recently (moment of silence please) for the Whitney M Young conference. It was great, great, great. Admin, students, prospectives and alums were there. I got some amazing details about Wharton life and the Mktg program that day...stuff that you just can't find on the website, came back and made a couple of edits to my first W essay. It was gratifying to realize a couple AdComm members recognized me just from the cocktail hour on Pros. Day.
To all of you thinking of applying for '05 to any top bschool program, here are a coupla things that you might already know, if not, now ya do:
Visits to the school's events are more important than you think
Aim for Round 1, that way if there's a setback, you're in Round 2. Those programs are 90-95% full by Round 3.
