The Kaplan course's going well so far. A sistah thought that because she'd done the test before the course might be too easy. Not so! John, the instructor, has been doin' this for donkey years now and knows his s**t. Good thing too, because I apparently don't!
The 2 single best things about the Kaplan course for all of you who want to know is (1) that it emphasizes practice testing over and over (yes, and over again). By the time I take the GMAT, I'll have taken at least 10 full practice tests (providing I find time to do all my darned homework!)
The second good thing is that there are decent tips for strategically guessing in the event that time is runnin' out. For example, if the question stem asks "which of the following" (WOTF), then about 65% of the time the answers D/E. (I've tested this one...yup, that bad boy works...one o' y'all will be thanking a sis for that one in due time).
Apart from studying like my life depends on it, I'm also training for a half-marathon, being the sole bread-winner at home (hubby's currently unemployed), teaching my little brother/new graduate a little about interviewing, juggling 3 projects at work, etc etc. Thank goodness for braids! Check out the pic if ya don't believe me. I just don't have time to be fixin' or brushin' hair right about now. Seriously.
