Countdown to exam

So my GMAT course is over, and as gratifying as it is to not have to fly across Manhattan to get to my crowded class on time, this is also a nerve-wracking time. Because now that the course is over, girlfriend has got to schedule her exam date. Let's just say it's for sometime SOON. I'll just leave it at that.

I've been taking practice tests and I have to say, it's sooo clear what my strongpoint is: the Verbal. This has always been the case, which is why now that I'm looking to improve my score to a 700, I have to rely almost exclusively on the Math/Quant. section. I'm figurin' I need to at LEAST maintain the 90th percentile Verbal score, while seriously getting it together on the Quant end.

So, do I feel more comfortable with the Math questions now? Yes. But make no mistake about it, the pressure is ON. My practice test scores range from 550 - 720. They're all OVER the place, hear? Yup, you read that correctly...that was a 550. How come? Well, I decided on Sunday to do a test then because I was definitely ill. I wanted to know for sure whether how I felt on exam day would make a difference. Folks, be very clear: if you feel like crap come exam day, you will not, I repeat not, be performing at your best. No question. My 550 on Sunday can testify to that!

Thank goodness I've taken up running seriously. It's a great outlet for all of the pent-up stress surrounding the exam, and the stress that comes from being the sole breadwinner in the household for awhile. Hubby's still part of the unemployed group, after being laid off about 3 months ago. It's all forced a sistah to be grateful for the first time in a long time, that she could just pay all her bills on time. Ain't no cleanin' service comin' to visit my butt each week no more.

I'll keep y'all posted. For sure.
