Still no invite

I still haven't received my invitation to interview from Wharton. If anyone's seen my invite, please contact me immediately and let me know where it is. My general sense is that it's been delayed in getting to me somehow, or it's just plain lost.

I should be meeting with the good Admissions people at Columbia this week, but feel like I can't pin down the points I want to make. I don't want to waste precious time, and I don't have questions really. But I do want to communicate enthusiasm for the program and just have some face time. I've been waiting to hear from a couple of people who've been in this situation and who should have some helpful tips for me. Both are busy people, so in the end, I may have to pull this off w/out any advice...just relyin' on the good ole gray.

Yale. Do I really want to visit Yale at this stage? I feel like I should. But I hafta say, I've tried to reach out to minority students at Yale's SOM via e-mail (ya, all 2 of them! naw, i'm just playin) and: nada! No responses, not a peep. Is this a sign that Yale wouldn't be right for me? Or does this mean I have to check things out myself up in New Haven, i.e. visit? It's pretty late in the game to be hemmin' an' hawin', so I'll make a decision (again!) sometime soon.

Y'all gonna be the first to know when I find my invite.

Where's my invite?

Well, that's not really what I'm thinking. I'm not yet concerned about not having an interview invite. If I don't have one within the next 2 weeks, oh, you'll know! That I can promise. But, really: Where's my invite?

Congrats to those who've gotten their invites from Wharton or Columbia...'tis the season and you were the first of the (2nd round) lot.

Today I start my prep for Fall '04. Calculus first. I'm actually looking forward to immersing myself in the class and distracting myself by working toward an A. I figure I'll have less time to imagine what the wait will be like after an interview is over, and I'm waiting to hear my fate. Also, it'll be nice to inform AdComms at both schools of an 'A' in this class. I'll let y'all know how it goes. A sister ain't too stressed yet.
