My Stanford GSB admissions interview...

I've got a lot to update you guys on, but it's getting pretty late so I'll have to make a more complete post tomorrow. Over the weekend, I attended Fuqua's Ford Workshop for Minority Applicants and it was a hell of a time...which I'll go into more detail about tomorrow.

A few hours ago, I had my admissions interview for Stanford with one of their alums here in DC. I was really nervous about this one because I know how hard it is to get an invitation. I thoughtI'd get grilled, so I spent a couple of hours prepping for it last night with my friend Maya (biggups to her ;-) ). I showed up a little early for the interview, but my interviewer didn't seem to mind. He was a member of the Class of 1993 and he was incredibly friendly from the start. The biggest thing that I noticed about him was that he exuded love for Stanford and its MBA program. He aked me a set of really good questions, but none of them were meant to confuse or stump me. He later told me that he was mostly concerned with getting to know who I was as a person. After he asked his questions, he gave me a chance to ask some of my own and this is where the interview got good. His responses to my questions were filled with great testimonials about Stanford's program and life at the school. I don't know if the school pays him to do any recruiting, but, if they don't, they seriously need to do so. After talking to him, I was very excited about Stanford...I just hope that he was as excited about talking to me. I guess I'll know in about 2 months when they release their admissions decisions.
