What's going on people? Hope all is well. I'm doing pretty well. I'm in a meeting right now on campus - as you can tell this meeting has my full attention :-) I can't wait man - Superbowl Sunday...yeah boi. Being from Boston originally, my team is of course the Patriots. I'm amazed at how many people want the Eagles to win just because they're sick of the Patriots. You know, everyone hates a winner. Now I know how it feels to be a Laker :-)
I'm excited. I just found out that I'm headed to Brazil for Spring Break. Yeah man...Rio...ah yes, can't wait.
I was talking to my sister last nite, she's doing great by the way. Thanks to everyone that showed support and concern. She actually just got baptised last week. Very cool.
Speaking of church, I made it to service this morning. I went to Abyssinian for the early service - brutal to get up that early, but definitely worth it. You know church is similar to the gym for me - it always hard to go, but once I do I'm glad that I did.
On another note - I saw hotel Rwanda last week. Good lord, if you have not seen this movie, do yourself a favor and go see it. It was unbelievable. I mean the things that happened were fairly recent - mid 90's - but I didn't have an appreciation for the severity of the situation until now. Its a good movie, but very very heavy.
Ok, the meeting is ending so I have to go.
Take care!
Shadan,
Just to let you know, I've been reading your posts since the beginning and have been enjoying it thoroughly! After all that, this is my first comment :)
As a minority myself born and raised here in the big apple, you, along with so many others provide great inspiration to the rest of us and for that, I thank you.
I'm currently studying for my GMATs and one of the things that motivates me to aim high (break 700 and get into a top MBA program) is you.
Thanks again my good man and best wishes to you! Just remember, sometimes without knowing it, you are providing so much to society just by doing your thing!
Alex
