What's going on people?
This weekend was unreal. The Black Business Student's Association at Columbia had our 22nd Annual Conference. I met some high powered people who are just doing it across ALL industries. If you guys missed it this year, please don't make the same mistake next year :) We also had a gala friday night and a party last night. I had a great time. Now unfortunately I have to get up and go value a company :) Ya gotta luv B school. Hopefully some aspirin can knock this headache out of my head. Feels like there's some construction going on in there :)
I hope everyone is cool. We had a prospective student day on campus on thursday it was weird to be sitting on the other side of table, especially since it seems like only yesterday that I was killing myself getting ready for the GMAT. Time flies.
ok ya'll take care
until next time :)

Alright,
I’ve been slacking. I haven’t posted in a while and I’m sorry. It’s been crazy though. Let’s see, Since the last time I posted a lot has happened. One quick story. I was on campus studying for my accounting midterm. At about 11:30 I decided to call it quits and head home, so I took a cab to my apartment. I got out the cab and walked up to my door and realized, I didn’t have my keys. To make things worse, this happened to be the one day that I had forgotten my cell phone at home. I honestly didn’t know what to do. Keep in mind that I’m still on crutches and I had my school bag with my laptop on my back. It was crazy, I went back to campus and couldn’t find my keys. I actually ended up sleeping in one of the classrooms on campus. Crazy right?
I’ve been through the first round midterms/finals and damn that was rough. Columbia breaks up some of its classes into half semester classes. So for example I started my Statistics class in August and finished it mid October, and I started a Marketing Class mid October that will last until the end of the semester sometime in December. It feels like the material is coming at you in ‘bullet time.’
I hope everyone had a good Halloween. Mine was hot, I got together with some of the other first and second year Black students and we basically just wilded out for a while. I can’t lie though, I did pay for it on Saturday, man I swear I’m done with the bottle boi. I had to go to the neighbor’s for some aspirin, last time, I swear. I hope everyone is doing well. First rounds are finished right? I honestly don’t even remember. It seems like it was so long ago that I was applying, I guess just because so much has happened since then. Good luck though, keep striving. Trust me, the application process just makes you more prepared for how difficult school will be. Don’t be scared, don’t be discouraged, just be prepared.
Catch me at the Matrix on Wednesday, oh yeah, and don’t forget the BBSA conference. :
Ok, until next time! :)
PS The stand up went pretty well btw. I figured I'd hold off on doing it again until I can actually 'stand up' though. :) But I'll be sure to post whenever my next performance is.
