ok, here it is. We started our stretch of midterms. I mean I only have one, but I feel the pain of those who have more. :-)
I feel like I need to focus a little bit more. I just got my midterm, it's a take home, but I'm focusing more on sending out emails about the Monday Night Football event at 40/40. Does that mean my priorities are out of whack?
You know, I blame all this on the early job offer. It was kind of hard to stay focused before, NOW??? I feel like a nearsighted, drunk, without his glasses. :-)
How's that for a metaphor?
I feel bad that the comment section isn't working anymore due to spammers. (any word on that KD?)
I'm gonna look into it and see if any progress has been made.
Gotta run!
What's going on MBADIVERSITY???
wow, big tings agwann as we say...Network clothing??? ok...I'm impressed, the logo on the gear is pretty hot too, I must say. :-)
I hope you guys are cool. I'm doing very well. I just started working out again after about a month off. you know working out is good for the mind as well as the body, I didn't notice it but I was gradually feeling more and more depressed and not really understanding why. But when I look back I had really stopped taking care of myself, so now I'm back to eating healthier, and working out, and I already feel 10x better.
ok, so I decided to not pursue the Citigroup position. You know, the program sounded great, but I really don't have any interest in the financial services industry at all. I was at the presentation and as long as they were talking about the program I was good, as soon as they started talking about the industry or the company in general I started to get sleepy. I don't think that I need to be at a place if I'm not intrigued by the industry itself.
Which brings me to another point. I've been extended an offer from L'Oreal! Yeah man, it's official. I have a job. Okay, I haven't accepted, but I have an offer for a job, it takes a lot of pressure off as I go through the recruiting process.
I hope everyone is well, I've been pretty busy. Me and a couple of friends just started an event, "Monday Night Football at 40/40". Last nite was the first one and it went very well. Our turn out was good, and the vibe of the crowd was really cool. Very very important, I hate being around pretentious people, it annoys the hell out of me. Anyone who's here in the city should come check it out.
You know, NYC definitely has its pro's and cons, but things like this are what I like best about it. The opportunity to do things you can't do anywhere else in the world. I mean I'm having an event at 40/40 and Jay-z is walking around chillin. Now don't misunderstand, I'm not a Jay groupie. I do think the brother is gifted though, not just lyrically. but when you look at the fact that he's a more sucessful businessman than most people coming out of business school will ever be, and add that to the fact that he started with much less and it's pretty impressive. I look at it like this, he hasn't made as much as Bill Gates, but Bill Gates had enough money and connections to go to Harvard in the first place, and then decided to drop out.
Ok, enough of Jay Z. Like I said though if your around NYC and like cool crowds, and young professionals , then 40/40 on Monday nights is the place to be.
Gotta run, heading to dinner with a friend, catch you guys later!
